
FINE-DDD 2 aims to refine the family-centered intervention co-developed in a series of workshops in FINE-DDD 1 to increase participation of of children with mild and moderate cerebral palsy (CP) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and

to support their caregivers by increasing awareness, social mobilization, family engagement and therapy trainings. Two co-design workshops were conducted with stakeholders involved in the care and support of children with disabilities (CWD) and caregivers of CWD

Participants and facilitators
The total number of participants for day 1 were 24 stakeholders including caregivers of children with disabilities (2), teachers (4), therapists (3), representatives from organizations providing services for children with DDD (3), representatives from parents’ associations (3), representatives from the municipal disability network (1) and medical doctors (3). The workshops were organized and facilitated by GC with 3 facilitators and a researcher from Uppsala University, Sweden. Similarly, second workshop included 20 caregivers of children with CP and ASD.
Process:
A two-days’ workshop was held in 7th and 8th June 2025. The first day of the workshop concentrated on the engagement of stakeholders, while the subsequent day was dedicated to caregivers for refining the intervention strategy protocols. The extensive brainstorming sessions, discussions and presentations were done on both days with sharing abundance of knowledge and ideas helpful for the workshop. The results from the workshops will be incorporated with the intervention design.
