Feedback

The seven-day event was wrapped up by the chief of EDCU, Dhading Mr. Bhumilal Sharma Subedi with his short note stating:

“This training provided by Golden Community is highly important, particularly the parenting education and especially for the parents of young children. ECD teachers from 12 schools in Galchhi and Thakre have now been trained. So, I expect all the teachers to conduct parenting session following the manual and support in bringing positive changes in children’s behavior. I also believe that this training has marked an important milestone in the professional development of ECD teachers.”

Ms. Parbati Subedi expressed her feedback as a participant of the training:

I used negative discipline methods when children made mistakes. Through this training, I learned that the method is not appropriate. I now understand how to guide and discipline children without using negative verbal or physical discipline……………….We should communicate with their parents to learn more about the children’s behavior, interest, likes and dislikes. By understanding children more closely, it will be easier to manage the classroom. ”

Participants also received stationary materials including scissors, chart paper, marker, tape, glue stick, color pen, and color paper which will be useful for preparing teaching learning materials for their classrooms.
